Economic fluctuations, exchange rates, and inflation rates have played a significant role in these adjustments. Past increases have generally been made in response to rising living costs. With the recent increases, the net minimum wage has been raised to 35,180 TL (1,027 $), while the gross wage has increased to 40,436 TL, marking an important development. This increase aims to enhance the purchasing power of employees, while simultaneously imposing financial pressure on employers.
